When he was 9 years old, Aaron survived an attempted triple homicide at the hands of his mother’s boyfriend. In the aftermath, he wound up homeless and lived in a shelter for battered women. This early childhood experience impressed upon him the responsibility men have to support the safety of women and children, and the lifesaving role of law enforcement.
